in 2014 i will…
i’ve made a quilt for my mom, sister, and brother, but haven’t made one for my dad. i don’t really think he would use a blanket either, so instead, i plan to make him matching saddle blankets for his two horses.
i am going to attempt to copy this pattern
using these colors
what do you think? after drafting up a pattern they are only going to be 30 inches by 35 inches, so i think i can handle two of them. i think i will give them to him on father’s day, so that gives me quite a while to get them done.
i also promised brian i would work on his quilt. i already have the fabric and did a test block. you may remember it
i redrafted the pattern, because this block was pretty small, and if i make them 12 by 12, it will take less of them and i can crank them out faster 🙂 i told him i would try to have it done for an anniversary present, but who really wants a flannel quilt in july? perhaps i can push it back to his birthday (december 13) or christmas, lol.
i want to finish the zakka swedish bloom quilt for myself. i already have 5 out of 9 flowers finished, and am currently working on the 6th.
i would like to get some significant work done on my two cross stitch projects, the woodland sampler, and the riley harbor
i would like to make at least one scrapbook page a month, using my cutie instagram pics, and the plethora of paper crafting tools and supplies i already have, including, but not limited to the cricut, all its cartridges, project life, and the many new stamps i have too
i want to make a throw pillow for myself/my couch using these fabrics
i have two friends having babies, so i’m sure i will be making something for them, and i still need to finish griffin’s work in progress for his first birthday at the end of may
i would like to finish the super intricate ceramic cross i am painting.
i would like to make some more progress on my bizzy kids quilt
i would like to do some more experimenting with my gelli plate, and perhaps even take the online class i’ve been looking at
i’d like to practice making bias tape with my new tool and make some to bind this wall hanging
what color/pattern do you think would look good as a border for this?
i would like to try some new techniques, and also dabble in some other types of crafts, such as felties like these
and i will for sure finish my goal of reading 30 new books before i turn 30 in november. (sad face, lol) i am currently on book #9
and if i accomplish all of these goals and really have nothing else to do, i have a ton of new quilting books and a ton of fabric to keep me busy for years to come!
to help set the stage, i spent entirely too much time today cleaning up the craft room. fresh, organized, and ready to be used to its full potential!
here’s to a creative, productive year!
