june gypsy wife blocks
after my huge debacle with last month’s square in a square blocks…i was a little worried that 4 of this month’s blocks were going to be the exact same.
however, to review…i found this tutorial and my blocks have been perfect ever since! it was actually really fun to only have to worry about picking out my fabric combinations. what do you think?
however, i didn’t look ahead…these blocks are eventually going to have borders added to them…so hopefully i have some fabrics that will complement them well! i don’t think it should be a problem.
i waited awhile after completing my square in a square blocks before attempting the “crazy anne.” c’mon, the title alone indicates that piecing it wasn’t going to be pleasant.
i cut my starting pieces a little bigger than the directions instructed, and still ended up about 1/4 inch too short at some points. it’s probably as good as it’s going to get, and i’m about over redoing these blocks though, so that’s how it’s going to stay! for the most part it was a pretty uneventful month in the life of the gypsy wife.
linking up with paige, from paper starfish, for my chance to win goodies. i must win! one of these months it may just happen! lol
