sunday stash, and some progress

it was teacher appreciation weekend at joann’s, so you know i had to take advantage of it! here are some things i picked up…

this geometric beauty

this really cool witchy pattern

wpid-wp-1407104960113.jpegi had to get some more of this adorable fox print to finish my william’s crossing, because i didn’t have enough

i already have some of the two fabrics on the left, but the polka dot is new!

wpid-wp-1407108174099.jpegi also already have some of this “basket weave” looking fabric, but i only got a yard of it, and this time i was able to get a really good deal, because the lady at the cutting counter loves me, and gave me 35 inches of it as a remnant lol

she did the same thing for this batik as well! lucky me!

finally, i got this remnant…can never have enough neutrals!

monday was our 3 year anniversary, but we waited until friday to celebrate. i finally got brian to paint pottery with me! he made an iu bowl (of course!) with handles, which he plans to use on his bedside table to hold keys, wallet, etc.

and i FINALLY finished my super intricate cross after probably 10 sessions of working on it. i was going to give it away as a gift, but now i’m not so sure, lol. can’t wait to see how they look after they are glazed and fired!

i was inspired by this piece:

Mexican pottery is gorgeous, but can also be pricey. Check out my tutorial to see how to make your own versions!

i also got a TON of work done on the quilt for my future niecey. i am loving everything about it, it’s coming together soooo nicely, i can’t wait to reveal it! the baby shower is still another 2 weeks away, so this is probably the furthest ahead i’ve ever been on a project lol.

i also got some stuff prepped for two baprons i am making. my best friend’s older brother and his wife are expecting little princess parker soon, and i wanted to make something small for them. her colors are gray and pink, and her patterns are polka dot and chevron. i’ve already ironed the vinyl on the fronts (to make them wipe able), and cut out all 4 pieces. the backs are flannel. i bought pre made bias (dark pink) and they are pretty quick and easy to whip up. i think they are going to be super cute!

this week is going to be crazy busy, but hopefully i can get some crafting time in! still have lots to complete!
